Offers
I'm currently working on the Offers team. The overall team motto is to "make employees paychecks go further." Our recent Tax partnership did just that. Not only was it contextual for tax season but we did 3x the sales we did last year just but improving the UX. This team partners with various big and local brands to highlight deals, employee perks and discounts. I lead both mobile and desktop UX efforts working with Marketing, Sales, Partnership team, Product, Dev and our larger UX mobile team for UX/UI alignment. Because our partnerships are unique deals I am unable to share.
When I joined the team the previous designer worked primarily in high fidelity with no flows. I saw some areas for process and improvement and by working in low fidelity first it actually sped up our decision making process (less back/forth), legal reviews, and dev scope before going high fidelity. I also mapped out flows in Figma, not just prototyping but showing our dev team a mapped out flow so hand off time was reduced. I also made sure to bake in UX audits before things went live so I could see and report any UI or UX issues. The team knows what to expect from UX now from discovery, research, audits, competitive analysis work, flows, wireframes all the way to polished high fidelity work. I present work to our senior stakeholders often as we stay aligned on this "high-stakes" new territory. Getting this wrong or annoying our users with 'Ads' is something I'm passionate to avoid. We want to make sure we continue to provide valuable contextual offers.
