WorkMarket UX Assessment
After joining the WorkMarket team, my Manager and I wanted to create established UX processes to claim a "seat at the table" as that presence lacking. I did an overall assessment against the existing design system (major accessibility issues and gaps in consistency), live app & desktop products, shuffle the team, lead a SWOT analysis, competitive analysis, create roadmaps and align with the business goals. I was also brought in as a Principal Designer to lead and mentor the team as I had successfully done with the MarketPlace team.
We presented to the wider WorkMarket org which was well received. We wanted to let the team know we were there to support but also positively contribute and define the product in the early discovery stages. We kind of wiggled our way in but stayed as a firm front as we partnered with the various teams. Very proud to hear UX still has a "seat" within this org today and is no longer seen as a "design service" only.
